Project Round-up for 2023 – My Yearly Assemblage!

For the past 4 years – I’ve done a yearly round up of projects I’ve done throughout the year, and I really love having this little curated list of my favorite things! So, it’s now my 5th year, and I’ve got a new Assemblage!

I always have such a good time going back over projects I’ve done in the year – and believe it or not, I’m still sometimes surprised by projects I may have forgotten (you know, I forgot to remember them or something like that 😂).

I usually pick out 10 projects that I enjoyed – or that I got some great feedback from you about, and put them into a 2 part series spread out over the last 2 weeks of the year! This is part one – I’ll be back next week with a part 2, which’ll have even more projects that I hope will inspire you! If you want to watch the video where I talk about each one – just scroll down to the bottom of this post.

  • Project 1 – Christmas List Folio
Perfect for capturing gift ideas and receipts, you could use this for Christmas gift shopping or a Christmas journal.

  • Project 2 – Lay flat, Collapsible Boxes
While I love a good ephemera journal to hold all my fussy cuts and little pieces of ephemera, I also really love to have a place to spread them all out so I can sift through them. These little boxes based on the art of Zhen Xian Bao are perfect for that!
  • Project 3 – Graphics Fairy Journals
I was honored to be a member of the Graphics Fairy design team in 2022 and 2023, so I have to share some of those journals with you! The ones I did in 2023 are my tall thin Paris in Emerald journal, the Forager’s Journal and the Photographers Journal!
  • Project 4 – Snippet Rolls
You’ve probably seen them everywhere – but I wanted to put together a little “Snippet Rolls 101” video. We cover everything from base materials to attaching to decorating to using in journals!
  • Project 5 - Junk Journal July Journal
Even though this journal was made for the Junk Journal July challenge with Meg Journals, it’s a quick and easy journal to put together for just about anything. And the best part is, it uses recycled packing as the base for the cover!

If you’d like to see a video of all these projects, you can check out the video below!
