Use up those supplies – pocket journal from time cards

Have you ever gone out and purchased something because you saw someone else use it in a project, and you use like 2 of them and then realize there are still 498 left?

Ok – I’m not speaking from experience here (um – yes, that’s a lie), but I think you’d start trying all sorts of things with them to see if you could start using them up. So, what did I do when I realized I had 498 time cards sitting around? Well, I made a pocket journal with them!

These little pocket journals are not only adorable, but they are fun and easy to make to boot! And now I’m using up some of those time cards that I got at the office supply store and my guilt is starting to subside!

You don’t need a whole lot of supplies to make these and to be honest, you could even probably make them from index cards, bingo cards, junk mail or even old greeting cards! And in the end, they make great gifts. Or even to just take with you when you are out and about if you are a crazy list maker (like me), or like to jot down thoughts or do a bit of art journaling away from your desk.

So check out the video below to see how quick these come together. And if you’ve ever wondered how to do napkin decoupage, make book spine fabric or do a pamphlet stitch, well then you definitely need to stick around because I cover all 3 in this tutorial!
